I enjoyed THE GUILT TRIP a lot. It is a very sweet film. Don't let the trailers fool you into believing it's a raucous FOCKERS-like comedy. There's no dirty jokes or special effects or explosions in The Guilt Trip?just some great Streisand/Rogen chemistry ... and a big heart. It's a small movie about a mother and a son. And what a pleasure to see Barbra back on the big screen! As Joyce, she hits all the right notes. Barbra is so relaxed and natural in the movie. Rogen plays "embarrassed son" well, and his character does some growing up over the coarse of the movie. Bring your mom, a date, or a friend. The end is touching and might bring a tear to your eye.

If you want to see a lighthearted comedy, without the dirty jokes or a lot of explosions, go see this one. This was a great film. I thought Seth Rogen and Barbara Streisand had great chemistry in this one. There is a message being delivered here. I would highly recommend seeing this one. If you are expecting the dirty jokes and graphic scenes, u wont see it in this one. Just a good all around comedy....Go see It!!

Not only does Barbara Streisand somehow manage to look like she's still 50 in this film, but she's actually funny, annoying and touching at pretty much the same time. The casting for this film (which both stars also produced) generates just the right chemistry for entertainment and the result is an enjoyable film that touches the heart of a mother and son relationship from the valleys to the peaks. I liked it a lot and can confidently suggest that you see for yourself during the holidays. You won't regret it, especially f the popcorn was as good as mine was.

From the previews, this looked like it was going to be a smash comedy. My wife and I waited for 6 weeks from the time we saw the previews. About 3/4 of the way through it, she was sleeping, as I saw other movie patrons getting up to walk out. This movie was a huge disappointment.

streisand was at her best- so real and down to earth. dialogue was the best and so easy to follow. Not a lot of action but funny.
